Zen Goju Temple has taught U.S.A. Goju at the same location, 2533 65th St, since 1972. Above the door it says Urban Goju Hall #004. That number is most of the story.
Grandmaster Peter G. Urban founded U.S.A. Goju and numbered the dojos authorized to teach it. A single-digit hall number means this one was among the first.

Besides the traditional U.S.A. Goju karate on Mondays and Thursdays, the school offers instruction in Sambo, MMA, grappling and Aiki JuJutsu.

There have never been contracts here. The tradition at this dojo is that a contract feels like trapping someone into training. We want you to train because you enjoy what we do, not because you signed something.

Your first class is free. Students bring their own uniform. Black judo or karate uniforms are preferred. You do not need one to try a class - wear something you can move in.
